Tucked between rice fields and the gentle shore of Lake Biwa, Time for Tea began as one pastry chef's love letter to the small rituals of an afternoon — the warm cup, the first bite of cake, the conversation that follows.

Each sweet is composed slowly, with seasonal fruit and unhurried technique. Our tiny eleven-seat room and a private tatami salon invite you to settle in and stay a while. There is no rush here — only butter, sugar, and time.
